I saw in the news that Baltika had already risen to the number 2 beer in the UK.

That's scary. I thought you guys had taste. :-)
Seems it's about the same as American taste after all.

Probably an exaggeration - can't get Baltika round here...no one really knows what it is. Could catch on though - big ad campaign. Better than Bud anyway. ;)

I thought No. 7 was the "eksportniy". Hmm. Selling beer is all about marketing, not taste, and it seems that beers that are considered shit beers in their home countries are marketed as "premium" abroad. Witness Budweiser, Corona... Not all Baltika is shit; I really like No.s 4, 6, and 8. Why is it usually the piss-yellow lagers that get exported and not yummy porters?
